Manga Recommendation of the Week - "Silver Spoon"

Hachiken-kun starts attending his new high school which happens to be in the middle of no where. He applied there to become the top of the class to get into a great college for a bright future, too bad he has no actual dreams to keep him on the right track. The school is really an agricultural school where students learn to properly take care of animals and growing crops. Hachiken-kun believes he is totally prepared for school, if he didn't get lost on the first day and memorize the wrong text book over the break. Will he find his dream job or will he be stuck in high school for ever taking care of animals at 5 in the morning?

Japan Relief Effort

Vaughn College's Japanese Culture Club has raised $145.00 to help with the relief effort over in Japan due to the tragic earthquake that took place in Northern Japan last month. We shall be donating the money to 'Japan Society' in Manhattan, NY. We organized an Art Exhibit at the last minute one week after Spring Break with local artists who attended Vaughn College.

-The donations will go to rebuilding Tōhoku Region of Japan.-
